PROBLEM
Our client, a beef rendering operation, was losing about $25,000/month in inventory because it was not being tagged properly and did not show up in the enterprise wide accounting system. We had completed a control and automation solutions in multiple areas of the plant so they asked if we could develop a solution quickly that would stop the losses.

SOLUTION
We designed and implemented an integrated solution with PLC/HMI control, an electric eye and an interface with the inventory management system. It also includes improved communication across the network and with their parent company location in Omaha, NE which enables the fast response times required to ensure success.Â

Our solution has almost completely eliminated the inventory loss ($300,000 per year) and has made a big impact to their bottom line performance.Â
