our r. e. a. l. values
Reject Passivism
The heart of the matter is the heart of the matter… we succeed when we do what needs to be done. Our world is spinning in a vortex of ‘don’t rock the boat, at any cost.’ ACS will not fall in line and be swallowed by the sea of mediocrity. ACS stands for quality, innovation, for what is right.
Expect a Greater Reward
We do what we do to serve the greater good, a higher value. Ultimately we answer for our contribution. Not just a paycheck, or a bonus, or a windfall, but that our lives count.
Accept Responsibility
Someone once said all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Our small corner of industry is not so lofty as good versus evil but every decision and every action we step forward with is ours. We succeed because it is up to us.
Lead Courageously
Abraham Lincoln said, the best way to predict the future is to create it. Industry moves at breakneck speed when there is a leader and crawls like a snail while we wait for the next innovation or spark of creation. ACS leads in SERVICE by going the extra mile and accepting responsibility for more than our share. ACS leads in INNOVATION by taking a risk to invest in ideas that may better the lives of our customers and team members. And ACS leads in TECHNOLOGY by continually investing in training, research, and hardware to keep us on the cutting edge of our industry.

Deanne Landreth
Deanne is President and co-founder of ACS, a women-owned company. She is leading ACS to our next stages of success and growth, while upholding the values and vision of Curt Landreth. A leader and a mother, all of ACS feels how much she cares for this professional family. Having been a pivotal part of our leadership since 1992, she is intimately familiar with all aspects of the company and can tell you many stories from years gone by. Any chance Deanne gets, she enjoys yard work, gardening, and snuggling with her grandkids.
Nathan Landreth
A lifelong student of business and leadership principles, he is uniquely prepared for his role. Looking out for the future at ACS, Nathan stays close to the heart of ACS customer relationships and works hand in hand with the sales team. Nathan also oversees everything related to the operation of ACS, from project management to R&D direction. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys ATV trail riding, hunting and camping, playing with his kids, and working on his farm in Emmett.
Mitch Landreth
Mitch is our main SCADA guy, constantly working to expand on the “Wow Factor” and takes on the responsibility of Quality Assurance in all SCADA projects. The first of the Founders sons to join the company, Mitch has been a leader in our Web Hosted CarefreeSCADA since the beginning. In his spare time, Mitch enjoys playing games with his wife and three sons. He also enjoys tinkering with new technology in the industrial and home automation space.
Steve Thomsen
Steve has 29 years of experience in system controls and automation, and has worked with everything from B1 Bombers to water districts. Our Professional Engineer, Steve has been with ACS for over 10 years with great expertise in project management and system design to meet the unique needs of our customers. When not in Control, Steve gets outdoors and enjoys kayaking, windsurfing and backroad exploration in greater Idaho.
Cris Cornett
Known by our Founder Curt as the Wonder Boy, Cris joined ACS in 2010 as a draftsman. Since then, any time ACS was ready to venture into a new realm, Cris was there ready to learn a new coding language, expand his knowledge on networking, or dive into a new SQL Database. He now serves in a broad capacity as the Process and Project Manager, while still leaning heavily into R&D. Away from the office, Cris enjoys spending time in the outdoors, traveling, and playing with his family.
Greg Gagnon
A Master Electrician for Idaho and Oregon, Greg is often a walking code and part numbers book for ACS. When it comes to the “ACS Way”, Greg tends to be at the center of defining what that looks like from panel builds to programming best practices. Years of experience in food production and over a decade as a leader at ACS, he sets the quality bar high for his team. In his off time, Greg likes to woodwork and spend time camping with his wife and fishing with his grandson.
Justin Griggs
A licensed Electrician and skilled programmer, Justin came to ACS after years in the Oil and Gas industry. At ACS he’s left his mark in many areas, not the least of which is an eye for standardization. He is constantly looking for ways to improve base programs and processes for easier troubleshooting and deployment for our clients. As a husband and father of 21 years, Justin enjoys raising Lionhead rabbits and spending time with family, especially his grandkids.
Jonathan Frank
Jon comes to ACS with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, and business development. Jon looks forward to helping ACS customers succeed with their ideas through innovative business solutions. When away from the office, Jon loves spending time with his family and friends, camping, hiking, and motorcycle riding.
Shauna Lewis
Michael Beal
We met Michael at a Manufacturing educational exhibit/job fair. His first question was “What do I need to learn to work for ACS?”. Our biggest need at the time was for a supplemental Ruby on Rails programmer, so he jumped in feet first! After joining ACS officially in 2020, Michael has jumped into whatever mission he is given with the same enthusiasm he had on day one. Michael loves the outdoors; camping and skiing are some of his favorite activities. When he can’t be outside, he likes to stay busy working on hobby projects in his free time.

A Tribute to our Late founder, Curtis Landreth
1964-2018
In 2018 our founder and CEO, Curtis Landreth, passed away after a long, courageous battle with a debilitating disease. He is sorely missed, but Curt’s values and vision for ACS, dating back to our founding in 1992, continue to serve us and our customers well.
Prior to his passing, Curt had this to say for our 25th Anniversary:
“We are pleased and blessed to be celebrating 25 years of providing systems, solutions, and services to our customers in Idaho and beyond. Thank you for your business and support of Advanced Control Systems. Without you, we wouldn’t exist. Also, a special shout-out to the ACS team. Without you, we couldn’t do what we do. We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary with you all.”
